I, Pretzel, Fierce Lion Hunter

I don't really know who my mom and dad were. I was adopted from the shelter. The shelter claimed that I was part German Shepherd, but I don't think so. I'm too tall for one and my hair is too short. Another suggestion is that I'm part Rottweiler because of the bump on my head and my markings. But really, I look closest to a Rhodesian Ridgeback the famed lion hunting dogs of Africa. And here you have picture proof.

See that lion attacking my boy Thom. Well I knew exactly what to do with that. I sprung into action going straight for his head. Lion hunting in the Wilkerson household is nothing like hunting in Africa. It was cake.....no running across the plain, no tracking for hours, which is a good thing because I don't have my pack buddies to help me take down these massive lions.

The strangest thing was that the lion seemed to come up right to me and offer no resistance when I attacked. Look at that handsome, brave and fierce dog going straight for that lion's muzzle. I was determined to rescue my boy Thom from that horrible lion.

With one expert attack I took that lion down. And as you can see Thom wasn't harmed in the attack. Not one scratch on his face. I'm very proud of that.

So you may wonder what happened to the lion.

Well I disposed of him in another location.

Sorry for the graphic details of the Lion's guts. I know it's hard to see for the first time. Poor lion. But if it wasn't for me I don't know what would have happened to Thom!

Thom's Birthday Cake

Tomorrow is Thom's Birthday. I'd make him a cake but it seems a little confusing. I've seen it done before. In fact, Jeri made all of us dogs a birthday cake this summer. She took a whole wheat hamburger bun and put peanut butter in the middle. Then on the outside she put more peanut butter. Finally, Mikayla decorated it with sprinkles. It smelled so good and I wanted to eat it and so did my sisters. But there was fire on top of that cake! I don't get it, what was the fire for? Then there was all this singing. Finally, we were able to eat that yummy cake. I ate my slice in two bites! I think there will be all that fire and singing and yummy cake for Thom's birthday too. I wonder if he'll have peanut butter in his cake. I want a slice! That is, as long as it's not chocolate.
